Μικρό Θέατρο Αμβρακίας (Άρτας)/ Small Theatre of Amvrakia (Arta)

Κατασκευάστηκε στα τέλη του 4ου με αρχές του 3ου αιώνα π.Χ. και παρέμεινε σε χρήση μέχρι και τα μέσα του 2ου αιώνα π.Χ. Το μικρό θέατρο δεν κατασκευάστηκε σε φυσικό ύψωμα, όπως συνέβαινε συνήθως στα αρχαία ελληνικά θέατρα, αλλά επάνω στα θεμέλια λουτρών του 4ου αιώνα π.Χ., καθώς και τα θεμέλια κτιρίων της κλασικής πόλης. Σώζονται η ορχήστρα, με διάμετρο 6,70 μέτρα, και μέρος του κοίλου και των παρόδων.

It was constructed in the late 4th and early 3rd century BC and it remained in use until the middle of the 2nd century BC. The small theatre was not built on a natural hill, as it was common in ancient Greek theatres, but upon the foundations of baths of the 4th century BC, and the foundations of buildings of the classical city. The orchestra, with a diameter of 6.70 meters, and part of the auditorium and the lane are saved.
